Growing Smiles OT

Growing Smiles Occupational Therapy is a mobile paediatric occupational therapy service supporting children and young adults in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Founded by Stephanie, the practice helps clients work towards personally meaningful goals and build skills for everyday life. Therapy can take place at home, school or kindergarten, or through telehealth, allowing children to practise and apply skills in familiar settings with support from families and educational staff.

Services address a range of areas, including fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, play, executive functioning, self-regulation, sensory processing and independence in self-care. Growing Smiles uses a child-led approach, recognising children as experts in their own lives and encouraging them to guide the goals they want to pursue. Stephanie’s practice is neuro-affirming, person-centred and family-centred, with individualised recommendations shaped around each child’s needs and perspective.

Stephanie has experience supporting children and adults with varied conditions and disabilities, and has training in approaches including Learn to Play, CO-OP, Handwriting Without Tears, functional hand use, home modifications and sleep with disability.
