Growth Counselling Services

Growth Counselling Services is a counselling and therapy practice based in Cambridge, Ontario, offering in-person appointments at its local office and virtual counselling to clients across Ontario. Led by Rick Defoe, a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified NeurOptimal® Wellness Provider and Trainer, the practice draws on more than 20 years of clinical experience supporting individuals, children, youth, and families. Its approach is compassionate and collaborative, providing a safe, supportive space to explore challenges, recognize personal strengths, and work toward meaningful, values-directed change.

Services include counselling for anxiety, depression, anger management, grief and loss, relationships and marriage, families, and children and teens. The practice also offers NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback, an advanced brain-training system intended to support resilience, flexibility, focus, and confidence. Its therapeutic approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, attachment-based therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy.
