GROWTH Foundation is a California nonprofit established in January 2006 to help youth and adults pursue academic and occupational goals, build self-sufficiency, and improve overall well-being. The organization initially provided supportive services for at-risk youth and their families, including an award-winning after-school program, employment preparation, advocacy, and referrals. It now focuses on helping people meet education costs through the GROWTH Foundation Scholarship, while continuing to offer one-on-one support to former after-school participants as they work toward their academic and career goals.
These lasting relationships are a distinctive part of the foundation’s approach. GROWTH Foundation also partners with drug treatment professionals to offer PEN TO PAPER: Journaling to Heal, a workshop for parents and future parents of at-risk youth. The workshop is designed to help participants address the effects of abuse and addiction and break harmful cycles.
