About Gründen.Nrw
Gründen.NRW is the startup and entrepreneurship information platform for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, supported by the state’s Ministry for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalisation and Energy. Its mission is to help make NRW one of Germany’s and Europe’s leading startup hubs by bringing together expertise, funding information and practical guidance for people starting or growing a business.
The platform serves a broad range of founders, with resources for groups including women entrepreneurs, young founders, migrant founders, high-tech and social-impact ventures, crafts businesses, and people considering business succession. Visitors can explore local advisory services, learn about startup financing and find information on grants and other support. Digital services include links to NRW’s online business service portal, where users can complete business-related administrative procedures, and databases that help them navigate funding opportunities.
Gründen.NRW also shares founder stories, news, events and information about competitions such as MUT – Der Gründungspreis NRW and Out of the Box.NRW. Its startup map and information about regional hubs help connect entrepreneurs with support across the state.
