Grundlovsfesten is a nationwide Danish initiative working to make Constitution Day a festive occasion shaped with and for children. It supports schools, associations, organisations and institutions in creating celebrations, offering guidance, educational materials and access to a celebration grant fund. Schools can develop activities with students, while community groups can register their events and connect with others through the national map of Constitution Day celebrations. The website also helps families and visitors discover local events and find ideas for hosting their own.

The initiative builds partnerships with organisations across society to encourage children and young people’s engagement with democracy. Its projects include child-friendly books explaining the Danish Constitution, a pocket-sized edition, classroom resources and an interactive exhibition. In collaboration with the Danish Courts, it has developed a mock trial experience for students, and with the Scouts it offers democracy activities and a special Constitution Day badge. Grundlovsfesten also promotes shared celebrations through practical resources such as party packs and a Constitution Day cake developed with Coop.
