Grupo Moura

Grupo Moura is a South American energy company founded in 1957 in Belo Jardim, Pernambuco, by Edson Mororó Moura and Conceição Moura. Beginning in the automotive sector, the group has expanded to produce batteries and energy storage systems for a wide range of uses, including motorcycles, boats, forklifts, backup power supplies, metros, trains, telecommunications stations, and storage systems. Its operations include seven industrial plants—six in Brazil and one in Argentina—and more than 6,500 employees.

The group’s work is guided by values including quality, innovation, sustainability, integrity, persistence, and a belief in the importance of people and customers. Its guiding conviction, “Strengthening bonds ensures a better future,” reflects an emphasis on trusted relationships and continuous improvement. Grupo Moura also supports social action through the Conceição Moura Institute and partners with the Edson Mororó Moura Institute of Technology. In addition, it provides an ethics channel for secure, optionally anonymous reports about suspected misconduct or violations of its standards and applicable laws.
