About Gruppe W
Gruppe W is a community founded in 2012 for people who want to experience ArmA as a military simulation through tactical, team-based gameplay. Guided by the motto “Tactical Gaming,” the group values variety in the types of units it plays and how they work together. Its main activity is scheduled events built around original scenarios created by its mission designers. Each participant takes on a defined role, from rifleman or medic to logistics support or mission leadership, with every position contributing to the shared objective.
When no formal event is planned, members can join spontaneous sessions featuring previously played events or custom scenarios using ArmA’s Zeus module. These sessions also offer opportunities to practise roles and develop skills. Gruppe W provides a community wiki with basic guidance and holds training sessions on selected topics, welcoming newcomers as well as experienced players. Prospective members can find joining information and a registration form on the website.
