GSO - GCC Standardization Organization is a regional body established by the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in December 2001. It officially started its operations in May 2004 and is headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a regional organization, GSO aims to unify standardization activities and ensure their implementation in cooperation with the national standardization bodies of the GCC member states.

Their goal is to develop and enforce standards that support the development of productive and service sectors, enhance bilateral trade, protect consumers, promote Gulf Industries, and contribute to the economic integration of the GCC. GSO plays a crucial role in facilitating trade, protecting public health, and preserving environmental safety through the development and implementation of quality standards. Additionally, GSO offers services such as training programs, conformity assessment, and technical cooperation to support organizations in the Gulf region.
