GT Goiás Sem Drogas

Grupo Terapêutico Goiás Sem Drogas is a nonprofit organization founded on October 25, 2011, to support adults facing substance dependence. Based in Senador Canedo, Goiás, the group provides a welcoming environment focused on active listening, therapeutic support, emotional strengthening, and mutual encouragement. Its work helps participants address daily challenges, rebuild relationships, regain autonomy, and pursue recovery with the support of staff, volunteers, and peers. Some people who complete the recovery process return as volunteers, helping welcome others who are seeking change.

Alongside its recovery programs, Goiás Sem Drogas offers courses and volunteer opportunities designed to build practical skills and encourage personal growth. Topics include gardening, fabric crafts, rural cooking, digital marketing for agribusiness, electrical work, medicinal plants, cassava cultivation, egg production, and solar energy. The organization also shares transparency documents and information about its activities. It is preparing to open a larger, more structured facility intended to provide greater comfort, safety, and opportunities for participants, while expanding its recovery programs and supporting social reintegration.
