About GTMF
Grand Teton Music Festival is renowned for providing exhilarating musical experiences. With its beginnings in a tent at the base of the Tetons over 60 years ago, the Festival has evolved to become a sought-after destination for classical music enthusiasts and performers alike. The Festival Orchestra, composed of exceptional talent from across the country, features more than 250 musicians from 90 orchestras and 65 institutions of higher learning, many of whom have been performing together for over 25 years.
Under the baton of the world-renowned Music Director, Sir Donald Runnicles, these musicians come together to create awe-inspiring performances that captivate Festival audiences. Beyond the orchestra, the Festival offers a diverse range of concerts, including the Gateway Series, Audra McDonald – One Night Only, Chamber Music, Open Rehearsals, and Free On the Road Concerts. The 2023 season invites music lovers to experience eight weeks of outstanding orchestral and chamber music, special events, Sunday Matinee Piano Recitals, and the continuation of GTMF’s opera initiative.
With guest artists such as James Ehnes, Yefim Bronfman, Marc-André Hamelin, and more, the Grand Teton Music Festival promises an unforgettable summer of musical excellence
