About GUAPA DEP
GUAPA is a Spanish-language pediatric emergency reference developed to support healthcare professionals caring for critically ill children and newborns. Created in Uruguay by pediatric and emergency medicine specialist Dr. Leonel Andrés Vigna Arregui, the guide is designed to provide accessible, organized, and up-to-date guidance for rapid decision-making when expert consultation may not be readily available.
Its content addresses the differing needs of patients at various stages of development and sizes, with treatment guidance, medication and dose calculations, equipment recommendations, algorithms, scales, and clinical assessment tools.
