Guardian Advocates Inc

Guardian Advocates Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in 2018 to protect and support seniors and adults with disabilities in Central Indiana. Its mission is to prevent neglect, abuse, self-neglect, and financial exploitation while advocating for people who may be unable to speak for themselves. The organization provides professional, court-appointed guardianship services through its East Division, serving Delaware, Grant, and Madison Counties, and its West Division, serving Tipton, Howard, Cass, Fulton, and Miami Counties.

Staff and volunteers visit clients, monitor and coordinate their care, help manage finances and public benefits, and work to ensure their basic needs are met. Guardian Advocates also operates Volunteer Advocates for Seniors or Incapacitated Adults (VASIA) programs, matching volunteers with clients for regular visits to observe their care and living conditions. In addition to direct services, the organization offers community education, resources, and workshops about guardianship and caregiving. It invites community members to volunteer, make referrals, attend speaking events, and donate to support its work in North Central Indiana.
