About GUARNERIUS
GUARNERIUS is a brand that represents the Guarnerius Center for Fine Arts founded by renowned violinist Jovan Kolundžija. Established in 1996, this private cultural institution in Serbia officially began operating on October 2, 2001, following five years of extensive reconstruction and renovation. Maestro Kolundžija's efforts restored the former beauty of the building from 1924, which was once in complete ruins, and enriched it with art.
The Guarnerius Center has hosted over 1,000 exquisite cultural programs to date. Recognizing its significance, the Serbian Government declared Guarnerius a NATIONAL INSTITUTION OF CULTURE in 2013. To ensure its survival, Jovan Kolundžija transferred all founding rights to the City of Belgrade on December 14, 2021, after personally financing the institution since its inception.
