Gujarat Literature Festival (GLF) is a literary and cultural initiative based in Ahmedabad, created to protect and conserve linguistic, literary, and cultural identities. Its flagship programme is the annual Gujarat Literature Festival, described as Gujarat’s first, largest, and most popular literary event focused on Gujarati identity. The festival brings established literary figures and emerging writers together, with participation from known and lesser-known authors from across India and abroad.

GLF’s programme extends beyond Gujarati literature through events presented as “festivals within the festival.” These include Gujarati Sahitya Mahotsav, dedicated to Gujarati literature, and Fountainhead, which welcomes writers from a broad range of backgrounds. The Indian Screenwriters’ Festival celebrates screenwriting for film, television, and web, featuring prominent participants from the Indian screenwriting community. GLF also offers learning opportunities, including workshops, and shares festival schedules, media coverage, photographs, blogs, and updates. Its activities span multiple languages and cultural forms, connecting audiences with literature, storytelling, theatre writing, and screen arts. The organization also presents GLF Awards and works with sponsors and partners.
