About Gulf Bend Center
Gulf Bend Center is a pioneering non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health and developmental disability services in the Crossroads Region of Texas. Established in 1970, the Center operates under the Texas Mental Health and Mental Retardation Act, catering to the needs of approximately 1,900 adults, 550 children and adolescents, and 200 individuals with developmental disabilities each year across eight counties.
Gulf Bend offers a broad spectrum of services, including crisis intervention, wellness programs, substance use treatment, and specialized care for veterans and children with mental health issues. As the only Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in the region, Gulf Bend has streamlined its intake process and expanded service offerings to ensure accessible care for all. With a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for over 50,000 individuals since its inception, Gulf Bend Center stands as a beacon of hope, bridging gaps in mental healthcare through innovation, compassion, and strong community involvement.
