Gundy Park Equine is a purpose-built equine rehabilitation and fitness centre in Gundy, in New South Wales’ Hunter Region, near Scone. Founded by owner Ali Foye, a former professional eventer, the centre provides care for horses recovering from injury, returning to training, or needing conditioning and spelling. Its services also include aquatic rehabilitation for dogs.
The centre features Australia’s first ECB Equine/Canine Water Treadmill, an aquatic therapy and training system with weight scales, a heart-rate monitor and an advanced filtration system. Using Epsom salts and sodium chloride, the treadmill supports rehabilitation and can also help develop fitness and endurance without a rider.
Gundy Park’s facilities include an American-style barn, stallion and colt paddocks, small turnout areas, large group spelling paddocks and a 1,400-metre grass training track. Additional facilities include a fenced Flexi fibre and sand arena, an undercover horse walker, cross-country paddocks, a training water jump and show jumps. Together, these resources support rehabilitation, conditioning and training for horses, with aquatic services available for dogs.
