Gut Birkholz

Gut Birkholz is a land and forestry estate in the Unterspreewald, within the Dahme-Seen region and about an hour’s drive from Berlin. Set among fields, meadows and woodlands, the farm offers a peaceful rural setting and extensive riding routes for horses and riders. It is a specialist Icelandic horse centre, home to nearly 100 horses, including boarding, breeding and sale horses, and is equipped to support Icelandic horse enthusiasts.

The estate offers horses for sale and boarding, as well as training delivered by several Trainer B-qualified instructors who specialise in Icelandic horses. Riding courses and clinics with visiting trainers take place throughout the year. Guests can stay at the Svanur holiday apartment, which accommodates up to four people and welcomes visitors bringing their own horse. Gut Birkholz also offers holiday accommodation in Prora on the island of Rügen, providing a base for seaside breaks. Combining equestrian services, countryside accommodation and a working farm environment, Gut Birkholz caters to horse owners, riders and visitors seeking a relaxing stay close to nature.
