Gut Sommersdorf

Gut Sommersdorf is a horse-care and boarding facility in Sommersdorf, near Mariaposching in Lower Bavaria, offering an artgerecht, movement-focused approach to keeping horses. Its open-stable concept is designed around horses’ natural needs for freedom, exercise, and regular social contact with other horses. The facility combines attentive professional care with modern technology, including a computer-controlled concentrate-feeding station that provides individually tailored portions throughout the day.

A circulation system encourages horses to walk several kilometres as they move between feeding and other areas, integrating activity into their daily routine. The stable also highlights its fresh-air setting, natural light, and spacious facilities, including a large riding hall. Gut Sommersdorf aims to support horses’ physical health and wellbeing through a balance of movement, companionship, and suitable nutrition.

The site shares information about events and provides a gallery of the property. Prospective horse owners can contact the team to learn more or arrange a visit to see the stable concept in person
