Gut Rewired

Gut Rewired is a gut-health education and guidance platform founded by Dr. Sulaiman Bharwani, known as Dr. Sal. A board-certified gastroenterologist and nutritionist with more than 30 years of experience and training at Brown and the University of Chicago, Dr. Sal focuses on gastrointestinal and nutritional disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome and dyspepsia. The brand helps people better understand their symptoms, recognize warning signs, and prepare to work with their healthcare providers.

Gut Rewired offers personalized, evidence-based consultations and plans to guide people through next steps with their gastroenterologist, doctor, or dietitian. Its educational resources include a free A–Z gut red-flags guide, a patient guide to preparing for doctor visits, a gut-type quiz, videos, podcasts, and other digital products. Content addresses topics such as digestion, the gut-brain connection, microbiome health, and symptom management. Gut Rewired describes its approach as transparent and independent, with no pharmaceutical or nutraceutical company affiliations. Its materials are educational and are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment from a personal physician.
