Gvanim is an Israeli nonprofit that works with communities to help people overcome challenges and build fuller, more independent lives. Its programs support people with disabilities, young people, and individuals recovering from mental health crises, with services spanning community living, employment, education, leisure, leadership, and social enterprise. Gvanim also offers initiatives for children and youth, including programs that help young adults with physical or sensory disabilities develop practical skills for independent living.

Through its employment center, people returning to work after a mental health crisis create gifts and other products, connecting meaningful work with opportunities to build confidence and workplace skills. The organization’s projects also include “Ohel Abraham,” workshops that provide space to process grief and loss, and “Friends Who Rescue,” a volunteer initiative that assists in locating and rescuing young travelers. Gvanim shares participant stories, updates, and community activities, and invites people to join its team or support its work through donations and its gift catalog.

Across its services, the organization emphasizes participation, personal growth, support, and belonging
