The Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation (GVCF) is a philanthropic organization dedicated to strengthening quality of life in Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas counties in West Virginia. Its mission is to encourage a lasting tradition of charitable giving by accepting contributions, managing charitable funds, and awarding grants and scholarships to students and organizations across its service area. With more than 200 community-based funds and endowments, GVCF helps build financial stability for local institutions and initiatives.

The foundation offers grant programs that support organizations and projects addressing community needs, encouraging development, and creating positive change. Its scholarship opportunities welcome students throughout the Greenbrier Valley, including those attending public, private, or parochial schools, as well as homeschooled students. GVCF also advances community impact through initiatives and programs including The Women’s Fund, the Greenbrier Valley Community Center, and the Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory.

In 2025, the foundation reported awarding $912,000 in grants and scholarships and holding $23.5 million in invested funds. GVCF provides residents and donors with ways to invest in the region’s future.
