About H1 Holdings

H1 Holdings (Pty) Ltd is a prominent brand that is making a significant impact in the renewable energy sector. As one of the shareholders of EDF-Renewables South Africa, this company is actively involved in the development of three new utility-scale wind projects. These projects, namely the San Kraal Wind, Phezukomoya Wind, and Coleskop Wind farms, are the first REIPPP Round 5 awarded projects to reach financial close.

Located in the Northern Cape and Eastern Cape regions, these wind farms will collectively contribute 420MW of clean energy to the Eskom grid. Not only do these projects promote sustainability and reduce carbon emissions, but they also have a positive socio-economic impact. With an aim to create 590 jobs during the construction period and 50 full-time jobs upon completion, H1 Holdings is committed to uplifting the local communities.

These wind projects also aim to enhance the economic participation of the Umsobomvu district community. It is projected that the electricity generated each year from these projects will power approximately 193,000 South African households.
