H2O ry

Sukellusseura H2O ry is a Helsinki-based diving club founded in 1979, with around 170 members. One of the Finnish Divers’ Federation’s largest clubs, H2O promotes diving skills, technical knowledge and swimming in a safe, welcoming environment, while encouraging members to enjoy regular dives and an active social community.

The club offers a range of training, including introductory experiences and CMAS courses for beginner, continuing and advanced divers, as well as specialist courses. Introductory sessions combine a theory lesson, equipment guidance and a supervised pool dive led by an instructor. They take place at the Helsinginkatu swimming pool, and the fee can be credited toward a beginner course if participants choose to continue.

H2O organizes diving events throughout the year, helping members explore varied open-water sites, find dive buddies and take part in activities with safety arrangements overseen by an experienced dive leader. Its resources include the well-equipped Deko dive support vessel, a gas filling station and a marine archaeology group that works with authorities.
