Habitation moderne

Habitation Moderne is a Strasbourg-based social housing provider that builds and renovates collective and individual homes in Strasbourg and the surrounding area. It offers rental housing and homes for sale, including apartments and individual houses, as well as a social homeownership programme through Opidia. Its property portfolio also includes professional and commercial premises, parking spaces and garages, and event venues.

For tenants, Habitation Moderne provides practical support throughout the housing journey, from moving in and understanding rent and charges to maintaining a home, managing changes in personal circumstances, and preparing to move out. Its online tenant area and housing exchange service provide additional ways to manage tenancy needs. The organisation also shares guidance on safety, neighbourly living, energy use, and building or neighbourhood works. Alongside its housing activities, Habitation Moderne publishes property listings and news, and invites residents to engage with its services and community initiatives. Its work is focused on meeting varied housing and local property needs across the Strasbourg area.
