八王子ジャズフェスティバル実行委員会

The Hachioji Jazz Festival Execution Committee is a passionate organization dedicated to bringing jazz music to the vibrant community of Hachioji, located in western Tokyo. Founded in 2019, it emerged from the dreams and aspirations of local jazz enthusiasts who had long desired a jazz festival in their hometown. Initially part of the Hachioji Music Festival, the jazz theme gained momentum, leading to the establishment of the committee as a platform for amateur jazz musicians in the area.

The primary event organized by the committee, Hachioji Jazz Days, aims to celebrate jazz over two days, although it has adapted to challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a scaled-down, single-day event in 2020. Despite the hurdles, the festival continues to thrive, featuring innovative initiatives that reflect the unique spirit of Hachioji. With a commitment to making participants the stars, the committee is focused on gradually expanding its offerings and sharing the joy of jazz with an even wider audience in the future.
