Hackfest is Tunisia's National Cybersecurity Competition, an annual event that brings together cybersecurity experts, businesses, and students under one roof. Organized by the Higher School of Communication (SUP'COM) since 2015, Hackfest is now in its 7th edition and will take place on June 23, 2023, at Elghazela Technopark.

This year's Hackfest will be contested in two stages: qualifiers on June 10th and finals on June 23rd. The competition consists of a Capture The Flag (CTF) challenge, where participants compete individually during the qualification round to win a slot for the final round. Only 80 contestants will qualify for the finals, where teams will compete independently for prizes.

Hackfest's CTF competition caters to both beginners and experienced contestants and includes tasks in various categories such as Cryptography, Binary Exploitation, Web Exploitation, Reverse Engineering, Forensics, and IoT. The competition provides an opportunity to showcase skills in attacking poorly implemented crypto, exploiting vulnerabilities, and analyzing firmware, among other challenges.

To participate, teams are limited to 4 members and must bring their own laptops equipped with software such as disassemblers, development tools, and virtual machines. Challenges will be accessible via WiFi.

Hackfest is supported by a range of sponsors, including local and international companies, and offers sponsorship opportunities for interested organizations. It attracts a diverse range of participants and is a must-attend event for anyone passionate about cybersecurity.
