Hackyard is an online community that runs small, community-driven AI hackathons for solo builders. Each Yard centers on one theme and gives participants a week, typically Monday through Friday, to create and ship a project using any AI model—or no AI at all. Builders submit a repository and demo, then the community votes over the weekend, with a champion crowned on Sunday.

Hackyard holds events on the first and third weeks of each month, with spots capped to keep each Yard small. Joining is free, and there are no teams, judges, pitch decks, or gatekeepers. Winners can receive a Champion badge, a place in the Hall of Fame, a featured write-up, and home-page recognition; some events also offer cash prizes.

The site showcases past projects and champions, publishes event schedules, rules, and a guide for solo developers, and provides sign-in and community access.
