Haiti One By One

Haiti One by One is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on helping Haitian children remain in school through individual sponsorships. The organization aims to empower students to become leaders and citizens who inspire hope, while creating opportunities for accessible growth. Its work centers on encouraging learning, expanding opportunity, and supporting change across generations.

Haiti One by One highlights the financial barriers that can keep children out of school, noting that school fees of $40 per month can make the difference between continued education and missed opportunities. Through child sponsorship, donors help cover this cost and support students’ attendance and development. The organization also welcomes one-time and recurring gifts of any size, and describes monthly giving as a particularly effective way to help keep a child enrolled.

Its website features student stories, while noting that some names, images, and details may be changed or shared representatively to protect children’s and families’ privacy. Haiti One by One also offers a newsletter and provides information about donating, sponsorship, and contacting the organization.
