Hajrá Peti Alapítvány

Hajrá Peti! Foundation is a Hungarian nonprofit organization established to support children who have sustained brain injuries caused by oxygen deprivation following accidents. Inspired by the experience of its founder, Nánási Péter, and his nephew Peti, the foundation helps families pursue medical treatments and provides information about available treatment options. Its support is intended both for Peti and for other children facing similar circumstances; the foundation reports that it has helped more than twenty children move closer to recovery.

The organization raises funds through direct donations and donations of one percent of eligible taxpayers’ income tax. It also works to connect and inform families who may otherwise have to navigate treatment options on their own. Over the years, its fundraising and awareness activities have included benefit concerts, a published book, a charity cooking event, and a promotional video. The foundation describes its work as genuinely nonprofit, with volunteers serving without compensation. Supporters can contribute through the foundation’s tax-designation program or by making a direct donation.
