Hakim Idriss, also known as Socrome, is a talented visual artist based in Dubai who specializes in contemporary painting and large-scale artworks. Born in Paris in 1984 to Comorian parents, his artistic journey is marked by influences from diverse cultures, particularly the vibrant graffiti scene that he embraced as a teenager. With a unique blend of abstraction and modern calligraphy inspired by Parisian hip-hop and American wildstyle, he has made significant contributions to urban art both in Europe and the Comoros.

Transitioning from muralism to canvas since 2020, Hakim has refined his techniques, exploring knife painting and abstract forms while maintaining the raw energy of his graffiti roots. His art captures fluidity and movement, serving as a dialogue between tradition and modernity. Committed to nurturing graffiti culture, he established “Swana Studio” to mentor emerging artists. Recognized for his dynamic style, Hakim collaborates with major brands and showcases his work in prestigious exhibitions, embodying a continuous quest for personal expression.
