Hakuba Excellence is a Hakuba-based outdoor tour company offering guided adventures across the Japanese Alps and surrounding regions. Led by professional, English-speaking local guides, the company creates private and small-group experiences for visitors of different ages and skill levels, with an emphasis on safety, personal attention, and responsible tourism.

Green-season activities include hiking and trekking in Togakushi, Happo Pond, Tsugaike Shizen-en, Kamikochi, and along the historic Shio-no-michi Salt Road and Nakasendo Trail. Guests can also enjoy stand-up paddleboarding on Lake Aoki, as well as cultural day trips featuring Nagano and the Monkey Park. In winter, Hakuba Excellence runs group and private snowshoe tours, including evening outings and excursions in Iwatake, Tsugaike Shizen-en, and Togakushi.

Tours are tailored to guests’ interests, from scenic walks and alpine viewpoints to cultural experiences and family-friendly outings. Hakuba Excellence also operates school programs and is affiliated with Excellence Snowsports, a sister school providing private ski and snowboard lessons in Madarao and Geto Kogen. Its activities span the year, with experiences available across the seasons.
