Halifax Electric Flyers

**Halifax Electric Flyers Association (HEFA)** is a dedicated community for enthusiasts of radio-controlled (R/C) electric model aircraft. As a chartered member of the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC), HEFA promotes the joys of electric aviation. The association caters to a variety of interests, featuring aircraft that range from small indoor flyers to medium-sized aerobatic planes, all adhering to a 6 lb weight limit. Additionally, members showcase various gliders, both powered and unpowered.

HEFA offers a welcoming environment for anyone keen on electric R/C flying. Enthusiasts can join fellow members at the Shannon Park field in Dartmouth, NS, where they gather primarily on weekends, throughout the year, subject to weather conditions. The association places a strong emphasis on education and training, providing resources and forums for both new and experienced pilots to refine their skills. Whether you're an avid flyer or a curious beginner, HEFA is the perfect place to explore the world of electric model aviation.
