About Hall Art Foundation
The Hall Art Foundation, established in 2007, is dedicated to sharing postwar and contemporary artworks from its own collection and that of Andrew and Christine Hall with the public. The foundation operates two museum spaces - Kunstmuseum Schloss Derneburg and Hall Art Foundation | Reading, Vermont. Kunstmuseum Schloss Derneburg is located near Hannover, Germany, and offers exhibitions in a historic setting.
The museum has undergone extensive renovations to become one of the largest privately owned public museums for contemporary art in Europe. On the other hand, Hall Art Foundation | Reading, Vermont is situated on a former dairy farm and consists of a converted 19th-century stone farmhouse, barns, and a new reception center. Exhibitions are held seasonally from May to November.
The foundation also has a partnership with the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, Massachusetts. Additionally, the Hall Art Foundation collaborates with other institutions worldwide to organize exhibitions and facilitate loans from its collection. With over 5,000 works by renowned artists, the foundation is committed to supporting the Black community in America through various initiatives and scholarships
