HALO is an organization dedicated to Helping Autism through Learning and Outreach. We provide the invaluable services of Soma®RPM (Soma-Rapid Prompting Method), an academic program that fosters communication, reasoning, understanding, improved motor skills, and increased sensory tolerance. We strive to deliver the highest level of support for individuals diagnosed with autism (verbal and non-verbal), cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and related disorders.
Established in 2002 by Wes and Linda Lange, HALO serves as a center for RPM, a method created by Soma Mukhopadhyay to help her own autistic son, Tito. Thanks to Soma's dedication, Tito exceeded all expectations and became not only an accomplished student but also a published author of multiple books. Soma joined HALO in 2003 as a full-time RPM provider at our clinic in Austin, Texas.
Her efforts have focused on teaching students and families, as well as training new RPM providers and practitioners. HALO operates as a non-profit organization, aiming to provide education through RPM, which is a trademark of Soma Mukhopadhyay.
