HelpChat is a dedicated online counseling service tailored for women and girls affected by violence in Austria. Operating daily from 6 PM to 10 PM, this unique platform offers immediate assistance in a safe, anonymous, and free chat environment, ensuring no waiting times for those in need. HelpChat addresses various forms of violence, including physical, emotional, sexual, psychological, family, and digital abuse, as well as online hate.

In addition to providing advice and support for victims, HelpChat facilitates connections to further resources, such as victim protection agencies and legal guidance. While not a psychotherapy service, it offers crucial psychosocial counseling and referral options. Users are encouraged to adopt pseudonyms for privacy and are reminded to adhere to specific chat guidelines. Men needing support are advised to reach out to men's counseling services. HelpChat is a vital resource for those seeking help, providing information and services to empower individuals facing violent situations.
