Hamburger Klimaschutz-Fonds

Hamburger Klimaschutz-Fonds e.V. is a Hamburg-based association that supports climate protection through practical projects, education, and public information. Its work focuses on promoting sustainable energy generation and increasing awareness of climate protection and the energy transition. The association provides financial support and advice for initiatives, including school projects related to renewable energy and development aid. One featured project, “agua es vida,” is connected with work in Nicaragua; the organization reports that new projects there were completed in late 2020 and early 2021, continuing earlier efforts.

The Fonds also examines policies that may contribute to climate harm. Its “Schwarzbuch” materials address climate-damaging taxes and subsidies and present proposals for change, including work on energy tax reform. Through its website, the association shares project updates, annual reports, and information about its activities. These resources document its efforts and help communicate the importance of sustainable energy and climate-conscious policy. Hamburger Klimaschutz-Fonds e.V. works with schools and project partners to advance these aims through both local engagement and international initiatives.
