Hampco

HAMPCO, Inc. (Helping Assist Multi-Purpose Community Organizations) is a Monroe, Louisiana, nonprofit dedicated to building stronger communities across Northeast Louisiana. Established in 1992 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 1997, it works with local and state partners to support underserved residents and promote education, wellness, and economic independence.

The organization offers scholarships for qualifying high school seniors in Senate District 34, along with youth education and mentoring programs. Its services include homework assistance, writing and time-management support, summer art classes, and Diamonds in the Rough, which teaches social etiquette, cooking, financial basics, and confidence. HAMPCO also provides financial literacy workshops for teens and adults, covering budgeting, banking, checkbook balancing, interest, and taxes.

Health initiatives include nutrition education, community wellness walks, and youth-focused health guidance.
