Handicapkonsulent

Handicapkonsulenten v/Jesper Jarl provides advice, training and talks on support and rights for people with disabilities. Based in Farum, the consultancy serves individuals, municipalities and disability organisations throughout Denmark. Founder Jesper Jarl brings more than 20 years of experience, including work as a social-care consultant at DUKH, and draws on his own experience as a wheelchair user. This combination informs practical, empathetic guidance grounded in legislation and relevant decisions.

Services for individuals include help with applications and complaints, case preparation, meeting support and representation. Advice covers disability-related benefits and services, including vehicle grants, assistive devices, home adaptations and compensation benefits for adults. For municipalities, Handicapkonsulenten offers case reviews, professional sparring and training on legislation, practice and social-care methods. Disability organisations can commission talks to help members understand their rights and navigate cases.

Courses and presentations are tailored to the audience and may cover administrative rights, applications and appeals, or specific support schemes. Jesper also prepares informative texts about legislation and practice for websites and membership publications.
