Handilab is an innovation centre dedicated to disability and loss of autonomy, founded by Groupe FIMINCO in Saint-Denis, in the Île-de-France region near Paris. Its mission is to bring people and organisations together to develop solutions that improve daily life and contribute to a more inclusive society. The 13,000-square-metre site is designed to welcome start-ups, large companies, training organisations, associations, artists and other partners.
Handilab offers spaces and support for applied research, project incubation and collaboration, alongside an innovation hub where ideas can be developed. Its testing laboratory enables teams to experiment with and improve solutions, while a showroom provides a place to present new developments. The centre also hosts events and meetings, with an immersive, universal and connected room. Its work looks toward the future of mobility and access to culture, media, entertainment and sport. By encouraging cross-disciplinary exchange, Handilab aims to turn innovations created for specific needs into ideas with broader benefits.
