Hand in Hand is a non-profit organization (NGO) based in Cairo, Egypt, with a mission to improve the lives of amputees in Egypt. The country has a high number of amputees, many of whom cannot afford prosthetic devices due to their high cost and low income in the country. Hand in Hand aims to address this issue by providing free 3D printed prosthetic devices to the Egyptian amputee population.

The organization was initiated by Eng. Mohamed Hatab, who developed a passion for helping others during his own battle with cancer. After studying engineering and learning about the process of manufacturing artificial limbs through a colleague, he decided to combine his field of study with biomedical engineering to produce prosthetic devices using 3D printing technology in Egypt.

Hand in Hand offers various prosthetic devices, including below knee, below elbow, and below wrist devices for different types of amputations. These devices are custom-made using high-tech manufacturing processes and materials to ensure safety and comfort for the users. Additionally, the organization conducts physical and psychological assessments of the patients, collects necessary data and documents, and follows up with regular maintenance appointments to ensure the efficient use of the devices.

Donations are essential for Hand in Hand to carry out its mission. Individuals can donate online, through home collections for large amounts, or by using various Egyptian banks. The organization also provides Vodafone Cash and Fawry codes for convenient donations.
