Handover is an AI assistant designed for maritime professionals, including marine engineers, deck officers, cadets, students and fleet teams. Its web-based service helps users find clearer next steps for technical questions, watchkeeping tasks and maritime procedures. Users can ask questions in plain language and receive structured, source-aware guidance that may draw on current web sources and their own uploaded manuals and reference documents.

The platform supports troubleshooting for ship machinery and systems, as well as questions about regulations, port procedures, engineering concepts and exam revision. Its capabilities include a maritime knowledge base, document libraries and web search, with features and usage limits varying by subscription. Handover offers Essential, Plus and Max plans for individual and higher-volume use, with different allowances for searches, storage and uploads.

Designed to keep client-side data use modest, the online experience is available directly on the web; downloadable offline models for mobile and desktop apps are listed as planned. Handover is intended to support professional judgment, not replace OEM manuals, safety management procedures or responsible officers
