Hands to Horses

Hands to Horses® is a hands-on bodywork and massage therapy practice focused on assessing and improving horses’ muscular condition. With veterinary approval, the practitioner evaluates muscles, bony landmarks, ligaments and tendons through palpation, and observes how each horse moves using visual assessment and static and dynamic exercises. Findings are professionally documented, and when restrictions or adhesions are identified, targeted therapies, acupressure and myofascial work may be used to support range of motion.

The practice offers integrated Equinology® equine bodywork and massage therapy as a holistic, remedial approach intended to promote healing, structural balance and pain relief without manipulating the skeletal structure. Services are available at farms, events and horse shows, primarily across West Michigan, Southeast Michigan, Greater Traverse City and the Chicagoland area. Hands to Horses works with horses in disciplines including dressage, hunter/jumper, show ring, pleasure and futurity prospects. Video gait assessments are also offered to horse owners worldwide. The website additionally lists help for dogs, alongside scheduling, educational resources and client feedback.
