About Hanina
Hanina is a unique cooperative gallery located in Jaffa, Israel, which serves as a space for contemporary art exhibitions, art lectures, and cultural events. Established in 2008, Hanina showcases established Israeli artists as well as emerging and aspiring talents, hosting their first exhibitions. After a hiatus, Hanina was reopened as a non-profit cooperative gallery, consisting of 16 young artists.
Currently located in southern Tel Aviv, Hanina promotes a cultural dialogue and amplifies diverse voices in the Israeli art scene. In addition to exhibitions, Hanina offers educational evenings, readings, music performances, film screenings, video works, and even figure drawing. The gallery also provides a rare platform for curators and professionals from different fields to freely collaborate.
The 12 gallery members, all graduates of art academies and various other paths, reside and work throughout Israel, dedicating their talents, vision, and resources to maintaining Hanina as a selfless and giving space
