Hanko Kai Karate Club Senica is a Slovak karate association based in Senica and one of the country’s oldest karate clubs. Founded in October 1974 by Dr. Martin Čulen, it became independent in 1991 and has built a long-standing focus on developing young athletes.
The club offers karate training for children and young people across several groups, with beginners welcome to join, including during the year. Training covers karate techniques, kata and kumite, and the club holds two large training camps annually. Members regularly compete in regional, national and international tournaments.
Over its history, the club has developed European champions and World and European Championship medallists. Advanced athletes are coached by Dr. Čulen, while Jaroslav Rehuš leads the youth groups.
The club also shares information about training schedules, events, competitions and recruitment through its website and official Facebook page. Its activities and history are documented in the book HANKO KAI: Karate in the City of Senica
