Hansa Class

Hansa Class UK is a community organisation dedicated to making sailing inclusive and accessible. It provides racing opportunities for anyone sailing Hansa boats, with events open to people with or without disabilities. The boats are specially adapted so that a wide range of people can compete, either single-handed or in a two-person class.

The organisation runs a Traveller Series of eight to ten one-day events around the country, alongside a three-day National Championships to determine champions in each class. It also supports sailors who want to attend international Hansa Class Association events, including biennial World Championships and European Championships held in alternate years. For events, Hansa Class UK has a fleet of six Hansa 303 boats available to hire.

A team of volunteers helps sailors participate, while a volunteer Management Team supports members and the organisation’s activities. Beyond competition, Hansa Class UK fosters a friendly, helpful community that welcomes people with different interests and levels of ambition.
