Hanspeter Münch Malerei

Hanspeter Münch is an artist based in Ettlingen, Germany, whose work explores the expressive possibilities of color. His paintings create spaces through color itself rather than depicting recognizable forms. Developed through a spontaneous yet considered process, the works can involve as many as 60 layers, building intricate combinations, movement, and a sense of physical volume. Light appears to pass through brighter areas, while subtle shifts and interactions invite both immediate engagement and close, sustained viewing.

The Hanspeter Münch website presents a gallery of the artist’s work, information about his life and career, and details of current and previous exhibitions. Visitors can learn about the exhibition Light.Space.Color II, scheduled from July 2025 to June 2026, and explore a visual tour of Lebensraum Farbe at Museum Schloss Ettlingen. The site also features exhibition news, including a presentation by Smart-collectors, an exhibition at Villa Faravelli in Imperia, Italy, and a documentary made for Italian television channel Rai 1. Contact information is provided for those interested in reaching the artist’s studio.
