International Hapkido Alliance

The International Hapkido Alliance (IHA) is dedicated to the unique practice and teaching of Kwan Nyom Hapkido, a distinctive martial arts system founded by Grandmaster Geoff in June 1999. The term "Kwan Nyom," meaning "School of Concepts" in Korean, symbolizes the innovative approach IHA takes in its instruction. While maintaining core Hapkido techniques akin to traditional methods, IHA emphasizes a conceptual understanding rather than rigid responses to specific attacks. This progressive teaching philosophy enables students to grasp a range of defensive techniques through dynamic learning experiences.

IHA boasts dojangs (training locations) across Australia, Europe, Mexico, the USA, and the Middle East, providing a global platform for learners of all levels to develop their skills. The alliance supports students with qualified instructors, training resources, and opportunities for advancement, including black belt programs. Committed to blending traditional values with modern skills, IHA is your gateway to mastering the art of Hapkido in a supportive environment. For more information, contact +61 2 9824 2999.
