Happiness Day Copenhagen is an initiative celebrating the United Nations’ International Day of Happiness through shared experiences, music, movement, and community. Founded in Denmark by Vicki Lang, whose first event took place in 2018, the initiative holds its annual celebration on the Saturday closest to 20 March. Its message, “Happiness is best when shared,” encourages people to focus on wellbeing and find joy in connection, creativity, and everyday experiences.
The event brings together performers, coaches, activity leaders, sponsors, and visitors for a public programme in Copenhagen. Activities have included live music and gospel, dance performances and workshops, coaching sessions, a group walk, coffee, and family-friendly face painting.
