Hardalion

Hardalion develops authority infrastructure for autonomous systems, helping organizations ensure that AI agents and other autonomous systems act only within clearly defined limits. The company distinguishes authority from identity and access: knowing who an agent is and what systems it can reach does not establish what it may do, for whom, or under what conditions. Hardalion’s central principle is that autonomy should never exceed authority.

Its Nexus product provides a control plane for building and operating enterprise AI agents under explicit authority. Before a consequential action proceeds, Nexus can determine whether it is permitted, requires human authorization, or must be stopped. Gateway extends the same authority decisions to agents built elsewhere, supporting a consistent boundary across different systems. Hardalion also presents case studies involving payments, enterprise operations, infrastructure, and other consequential workflows, illustrating outcomes such as blocked actions and recorded decisions.

For open-source work, Hardalion publishes the Agent Delegated Authority Protocol (ADAP), a public draft for expressing bounded authority delegated between autonomous agents.
