Caroline and Harald, with our beloved dog Frøya, own and operate Hardanger Fjord Lodge. In 2018, we left our city jobs to pursue a quieter life in the countryside. We wanted to create a place that not only benefits people but also respects and protects the natural environment.
When we came across the vacant historic Hotel Sundal from 1889, nestled near the mountains, fjord, and glacier, we knew it was the perfect opportunity. Now, we call this beautiful valley home, sharing it with you. Our talented chefs, Robert and Benedicte, prepare exquisite dishes in the restaurant.
